Clairet Boudoir

introduction

Hi, my name is Caroline.

I have been a full time professional photographer for over 12 years, from Houston, with homes in Austin & Denver. Most of my years have been spent as a wedding photographer until I fell into photographing boudoir and subsequently fell in love. My Denver boudoir photography style is editorial with a hint of documentary, I enjoy capturing the small moments in between portraits.

NICE TO MEET YOU

I spent most of my life deeply insecure. Too chubby, too short, small boobs, short legs, you name it, I had a problem with it. My parents and my crummy ex-boyfriend didn’t help. It wasn’t until I confided in the women around me that I realized all of those feelings about my appearance were trivial. They didn’t care what I looked like, they only cared about who I was on the inside. They accepted me; they lifted me up at a time I didn’t have much else and I will never ever forget that. Being photographed by some of my closest (photographer) friends over that time was integral in that hard time in my life because they saw the beauty that I didn't believe I had. The photos of me on this page are my favorite photos of me ever taken. Two of my closest friends through the lens found what I had lost through negative energy from others. They found my confidence & happiness that I didn't see in myself at that time.

As a photographer, making women feel beautiful through photography is an incredible art to be able to provide.

It’s difficult to fight what society tells women to do, think, say, be but we can. We can by being exactly who we want to be and be proud of it. I believe that getting a boudoir session doesn't have to be a gift for someone else, it’s a gift to yourself. This photography session is meant to be fun and an empowering experience. Let's have fun, let's create art.

FAQs

information

Q: When and where do you shoot?

A: Sessions are done between 10am and 4pm Monday through Friday. Weekend sessions are available for a $300 fee and are dependent upon availability. I have studio spots in Austin & Denver but am open to ideas you may have!

Q: How long do shoots last?

A: Each outfit gets about 20 to 30 minutes of time being photographed.

Q: How many photos will I receive?

A: I deliver 30-50 photos per outfit. All images will be viewable in an online gallery for you to select within 2 weeks.

Q: How much editing do you do?

A: Every photo is edited for color, contrast, skin softening, and exposure. All images that are put into albums get extra edits to get an distractions out from images (ie outlets or blemishes).

Q: What should I wear?

A: Feel free to bring a few options for us to select from. Lingerie works great but don’t forget about cute underwear sets, (I love the look of Calvin Kleins!), loose casual T’s or sweaters, or your veil if you’re getting married. Nude is also considered an outfit and can be done very tastefully.

Q: Should I do hair and makeup?

A: I encourage professional hair and makeup for photos. For hair, I recommend not a ton of product so we can move it around. For makeup, the more the merrier. Even if natural is more your style, makeup tends to get lost in photos so more than you’re used to is helpful!

Q: What should I bring?

A: Lotion, touch up makeup, and a clean robe if you’re feeling shy. I’ll have water, champagne or white claw, and good tunes ready to go.

Q: What does the setting fee get me?

A: The sitting fee is for my time. Albums, prints, and high-resolution images are available for purchase.

Q: How do I book?

A: Your shoot date is reserved with a session fee deposit. The sitting fee is your deposit to secure a session time and is nonrefundable 60 days prior to session but can be transferred to a new date within 6 months. Payments can be made via credit card via Stripe or Venmo, or check. Images will be posted in an online password protected gallery two weeks after the session. For privacy reasons, the online gallery will be only be up for 3 months for product selections. Keep in mind that since I am also a wedding photographer, I am rarely available on weekends. Think of it as a day off to get dolled up and treat yourself.
